The yachting industry has in recent years combined heart, science, and ingenuity to reduce its environmental footprint. At EKKA Yachts, our commitment to sustainability and protecting the marine environment has led us to engage in several meaningful initiatives. Here is an overview of the steps we have taken:
We allocated 10% of our annual charter management income to the Cycladic Preservation Fund, which facilitated the Cycladic Care for Wildlife program. This program, in collaboration with organizations like MOm and ARION, focuses on wildlife rescue and protection in the Cyclades.
A notable effort was our contribution to ARCHELON, The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, which underscored our commitment to raising awareness about endangered species and the importance of preserving their natural habitats.
Using insights from the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), we developed the Yachting Sustainability Guide, offering practical advice for more eco-friendly yachting practices.
As we progress, we are open to new partnerships and projects that further our commitment to environmental conservation in the yachting industry.
